What's in every worksheet

Every worksheet on this page is structured the same way. Questions are grouped into three sections — fluency, reasoning and problem solving — so you build the technique on straightforward examples before applying it to anything unfamiliar. The fluency questions are deliberately routine. They exist so that the method becomes automatic and you stop having to think about the mechanics. The reasoning questions ask you to explain, justify or work backwards, which is where most students first discover whether they actually understand a topic or have simply memorised a procedure. The problem-solving section is the closest to the real thing: multi-step questions where the technique isn't named, later parts depend on earlier ones, and you have to decide for yourself what the question is asking. Every worksheet has a matching solutions PDF with full step-by-step working, not just final answers. That matters more than it sounds. Getting a question wrong tells you very little; seeing where your method diverged from the correct one tells you what to fix.

GCSE and iGCSE maths worksheets

The GCSE collection covers all six strands of the specification. Number includes place value and ordering, fractions, decimals and percentages, indices, standard form, surds, rounding and estimation, bounds and error intervals, and systematic listing. Algebra runs from notation and substitution through expanding, factorising, linear and simultaneous equations, rearranging formulae, sequences, quadratics, inequalities, algebraic fractions, functions and proof. Ratio and Proportion covers sharing in a ratio, direct and inverse proportion, percentage change, growth and decay, exchange rates, compound measures, unit conversion and similar shapes. Geometry includes angle rules, area and perimeter, circles and circle theorems, Pythagoras, trigonometry, transformations, vectors, volume and surface area, and loci and construction. Probability covers basic probability, relative frequency, sample space diagrams, Venn diagrams, the and/or rules and tree diagrams. Data and Statistics covers averages from raw data and from frequency tables, charts and diagrams, scatter graphs, time series, cumulative frequency, histograms and comparing distributions. Questions are written to match the style and presentation of Edexcel iGCSE 4MA1 and are equally suitable for AQA, OCR and Edexcel GCSE. Most topics include material for both Foundation and Higher tier.

A-Level and International A-Level worksheets

The A-Level worksheets are organised by exam module rather than by topic, so they map directly onto how the course is taught and assessed. Pure 1 covers algebraic expressions, quadratics, equations and inequalities, graphs and transformations, straight line graphs, trigonometric ratios, radians, and the introduction to differentiation and integration. Pure 2 moves into proof, algebraic methods, coordinate geometry, exponentials and logarithms, the binomial expansion, sequences and series, trigonometric identities and equations, and further calculus. Pure 3 covers algebraic methods, functions and graphs, trigonometric functions and formulae, exponentials and logarithms, calculus and numerical methods. Pure 4 covers proof, partial fractions, coordinate geometry, the binomial expansion for negative and fractional powers, further differentiation and integration, and vectors. Statistics 1 covers measures of location and spread, representations of data, probability, correlation and regression, discrete random variables and the normal distribution. Mechanics 1 covers constant acceleration, vectors in mechanics, dynamics of a particle, forces and friction, momentum and impulse, statics and moments. Questions follow the style of Edexcel International A-Level and 9MA0, including the longer multi-part problems that carry most of the marks at this level.

What the A-Level and International A-Level courses cover

Courses cover the pure content of Edexcel A-Level Maths and the International A-Level Pure 1 to Pure 4 papers: Algebra and functions — surds, the discriminant, completing the square, the factor theorem, functions and partial fractions Coordinate geometry — straight lines, circles and parametric equations Sequences and series — arithmetic, geometric and the binomial expansion Trigonometry — identities, equations, radians and the sine and cosine rules Exponentials and logarithms — laws of logs, exponential models and linear forms Differentiation — from first principles through to the chain, product and quotient rules Integration — standard results, substitution, by parts and areas under curves Vectors — in two and three dimensions

How to use these worksheets

The most effective approach is also the least comfortable one: attempt a full sheet with the solutions closed, then mark it honestly. Where you lost marks matters more than how many. If the fluency section was fine but the problem-solving section wasn't, your technique is sound and the gap is in application — which means more of the same practice won't help, but working through harder multi-step questions will. If you struggled in the fluency section, the method itself needs work before anything else is worth attempting. Print them or work on screen, whichever suits. Some students find that writing out full solutions by hand, as they would in the exam, exposes gaps that reading through never does.
